The reason this class exists

This is not a workout.
This is your hour.

You are not looking for a fitness class. You are looking for one hour a week where your brain gets to stop solving everyone else's problems.

The question is not whether you have time for this. The question is whether you can afford to keep going through the week without one hour that is entirely yours.

Aerial Foundations with Crystal is that hour. Every Tuesday — at 6:00 AM before the day claims you, or at 6:00 PM to close it out. In a room with 7 other women who came for the same reason you did.

6:00 AM · Morning Flight

Before the day
owns you.

You are already awake. You have been awake since 4:30 running through your mental checklist. This class does not ask you to wake up — it asks you to arrive. One hour before the demands begin. The week does not get this hour. You do.

6:00 PM · Evening

The close
that actually closes.

The day ends — but it rarely actually stops. You carry it home, through dinner, through the night. This class is the thing that actually separates the day from the evening. An hour that says: that was then. This is yours.

The monthly rotation

Four weeks.
Three apparatus. One room.

Week 01

Aerial Hoop Foundations

Your first time in the hoop is something you will not forget. We start with mount, seated positions, and basic transitions. No experience needed. By the end of the 60 minutes you will have done something you did not think your body could do.

Aerial Hoop class
Week 02

Pole Dance Foundations

Grip, spin, and climb entry. Pole fitness is not what you think it is. It is strength, coordination, and body awareness — taught in a room that is never about performance and always about progress.

Pole Dance class
Week 03

Aerial Hammock Foundations

The hammock is the most accessible of the three apparatus — and often the most surprising. Entry positions, seated work, and supported transitions that feel like flying even on the first try.

Week 04

Pole & Floor Integration

All three apparatus. Crystal guides you through a sequence that pulls together what you have learned over the month. This is the class where everything clicks — where the separate pieces become one practice that is yours.

Who this class is for

You have been
excellent at everything
except this.

  • You are excellent at your job and quietly starving for something that is just yours.
  • You have been watching Taboo from the outside, wondering if it is for someone like you. It is.
  • You have never done aerial — or any fitness class — in your life. That is exactly who this class is for.
  • You need the 6AM before the day starts. Or you need the 6PM to actually end it. Both times exist for a reason.
  • You want to be in a room with women who are also high-functioning, also stretched thin, and also ready for one hour that belongs to them.

Meet Crystal

You will be in Crystal's hands.
Here is what that means.

I am a 20-year healthcare IT analyst who built an aerial and dance fitness studio in Jackson, Mississippi because I needed a room like this and it did not exist yet.

I know what it is like to be excellent at your job and quietly starving for something that is just yours. I built Taboo for that woman — and I built Aerial Foundations specifically so she has a place to start.

I teach this class personally because the first experience matters. Not just what you learn but how you feel when someone in this room sees you clearly and teaches you accordingly.

No one leaves my class feeling like a beginner. They leave feeling like someone who is just getting started. There is a difference.

What to expect

What your first
Tuesday looks like.

01
You arrive at 856F South Street — at 5:55 AM or 5:55 PM depending on your session. The door is open. The studio is lit and warm and nothing like what you expected.
02
You meet the 7 other women in the room. They are nurses, attorneys, teachers, corporate professionals. They are also first-timers. You are not behind.
03
Crystal opens the class by slowing everything down. Before you touch the apparatus, your body gets to arrive. This is the moment the week starts to release.
04
You spend 45 minutes learning. Whatever the apparatus is that week — hoop, pole, or hammock — Crystal takes you through it step by step. She notices what your body is doing and teaches to that, not to a script.
05
Somewhere in those 45 minutes you do something you did not think you could do. You will know the moment when it happens.
06
The final 15 minutes: cooldown and community. The room talks. Women exchange numbers. Crystal stays.
07
You leave at 7:00 AM or 7:00 PM. The day — or the week — feels different than it did when you walked in.
What to bring

Everything you need.
Nothing you don't.

Comfortable workout clothes — shorts or leggings, both work
Grip socks or plan to go bare feet — no shoes on the mat
Water bottle
Yourself — no experience, no special equipment, nothing to prove

What NOT to bring: Lotion on your skin before class (affects grip) · heels · performance anxiety

Questions

Before you
talk yourself out of it.

I have never done anything like this. Is that okay?
That is exactly who this class is for. No one in the room has done this before either. Crystal teaches to where you are, not to where she wishes you were.
Which time should I choose — 6:00 AM or 6:00 PM?
The one that your week will actually protect. If your mornings are yours before the day begins, choose 6 AM. If you need the evening to actually close out the day, choose 6 PM. Both sessions are the same class, the same instructor, the same 8-woman cap. The only question is what time works for your life.
What if I am not flexible or strong enough?
You are. Aerial Foundations is designed for bodies that have not been in this equipment before. Flexibility and strength develop inside the class — you do not need them to start.
Can I come to just one class or do I need to commit to the month?
Both options are available — $35 for a single class or $120 for the full monthly series (or $100 in October). Many women try one class first and then buy the series. Either is a good way to start.
Will it rotate to a different apparatus each week even if I only come once?
Yes. Each Tuesday is a standalone class — you do not need to have attended the previous week. Any week is a valid entry point.
What do I wear?
Shorts or leggings, grip socks or bare feet, no lotion on the skin before class (it affects grip). That is it.
Is there parking?
Yes — street parking is available on South Street. The studio entrance is clearly marked at 856F South Street, Jackson, MS 39201.
What if I need to cancel?
Please cancel at least 24 hours before class so your spot can go to another woman. Text (601) 607-9961 or email mytaboofitness@gmail.com.
Ready

You have been waiting
for the right time.
Tuesday is the right time.

6:00 AM or 6:00 PM — both are open. October deal ends October 31st.
